Why water from Lakes are not using in Bangalore City ? For water supply and sanitation , not for Agricultural purposes
There are a large number of lakes in and around Bangalore city
If this is for BWSSB, here is a comment.
It is something absurd to see the way arrangements are made for the valve-man to release water.
It is understandable that the positions of pipelines to roads have changed due to widening of roads,
but the way and place the openings are, is truly laughable.
The convenience for the valve-man has been given by now putting a pipe, may be 4-5 ft down from the road
and jutting out 4-6 inches from road level. As they come out 1-2 ft from the pavement on to the road, how do you expect vehicles not
going over and damaging them or bending them where by valves can not be opened? this has resulted it households suffering.
Please give some proper protection by keeping at road level and cover it with a proper steel lockable cover.
The practical examples seen are on 3rd cross Koramangala 2nd block and side of Kendrya Sadan, 100 ft road, Koramangala.
Hope to see some positive action.
Thanks
